Homage to Kelley Jones' famous image of Bane breaking Batman on the cover of Batman #497. However, this time instead of a dinosaur in the background, Bane is breaking a dinosaur across his leg and giving poor Bruce a break (different kind of break this time).

Actually, although the image (waist up) is definitely an homage to Kelley Jones’ Bane, the action shot here (waist down) mimics the famous KRAKT page by Jim Aparo from the interior story where you can see the break across Bane’s knee. Perhaps this cover is an homage hybrid of the two famous images.
