Mighty Love GN Page 64 by Howard Chaykin

I'm paraphrasing Howard, but if Chaykin was a church, I'd be a devoted parishioner. I adore his work, the man, his point of view, his ego, and his acerbic wit. Always have, always will.

Mighty Love was the start of Chaykin's Act 3. Am Flagg- Black Kiss being Act 1. The time when he was a writer mostly in TV and comics (but also did Midnight Men and Power and Glory) being Act 2, and then Mighty Love, the RomCom in tights graphic novel as the start of act 3. Here you see there is still lettering on the board, but he began using photoshop for backgrounds, and was soon to use in a full production method. (Anything before Flagg he's a bit more of a dilettante)

Chaykin is always doing something interesting, here using the 'people dressing up fighting crime' trope and adding real relationships, drama...with a little sex in it.
