Description

Marvel in the 90's was really hit or miss for me. Yes, they made some really bad decisions, but that helped create Image, but that is another story. Avengers Forever was the real standout in the 90's, Infinity Gauntlet and those Kubert brothers, but I also really enjoyed Warren Ellis and Mike Deodato's take on Thor. Some weird ideas there but all in all I was a fan and it was at the top of my reading stack. Happy to add another page from this series to my collection.

Here is what HA has to say: Mike Deodato Jr. Thor #499 Story Page 18 Original Art (Marvel, 1996). Thor has been transported to a bizarre version of Asgard where he encounters more extreme versions of himself (armed with a spiked Mjolnir), his father Odin, and Balder the Brave. This story page, encapsulating the excess of 90s comics, was rendered in ink over graphite on an Image Comics Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Minor handling wear, in Excellent condition.
