The Russian militia has subdued the neo-Nazi gang. Now what?

“What do you intend to do?”

“The balance of power has shifted, Mystere. If you and your friends have weak stomachs, I advise you to move away.”

“You don't want to kill them in cold blood...”

“We monks are against any form of violence. But we certainly can't impose our principles on these women and men.”

“Renate! We must stop it! What we must do is call the police.”

“Did you hear the monk, Mystere? Better not to upset a group of angry men and women. Especially if they are armed. I think I will wait outside.”

“Devils of hell! You cannot commit a massacre! I...”

“Mghrr! Rghrr!”

“Java!”

“Uhhh… Where are we?”

“On our way back to Yekaterinburg. The Russians helped me load you into the car.”

“Java...is he okay?”

“He's still unconscious, they just hit him a little harder than you. I... didn't have the heart to stop them, even if I could. I hope you can forgive me.”

Well, this certainly took a dark turn quickly. Martin's sense of fair play is overruled by flinty Russians who remember Nazi aggression of the past. The priests' ineffectual protest seems pretty half-hearted. Even Renate fails to speak up due to her own childhood trauma from fascists. And so, a dozen felons were executed rather than being arrested. I'm reminded of the Italian love for American westerns, in which men make their own law.
