Very good year in 1998!  It was a different world back then and the eBay flip was still new, so sketches were still being made for the fans.  Like it or not, it did make the art accessible to more fans and raised the value of sketches for more artists' work to where we are today.   

I do regret that I was in no position to get con sketches back in the '90s, when prices were lower because flipping wasn't as prevalent.  Happily for everyone involved, this piece only went up on eBay a year or two ago, so there was no flippery involved, here!
