DescriptionPastel story boards, each 8"x 6" by Bill Pete (1901-1971) who was a chidren' book illustrator and animator/story man. Created early in the making of Song of the South to better understand the layout and movement of a scene. Found in the first animated segment starting at about 20:29 where Br'er Rabbit finds himself trapped and later tricks Br'er Bear into trading places with him. Br.er Bear was stupid and gullible and easy fell for each ruse. Br'er Rabbit was a real salesman and boldly gambled that he could act out a plan well enough to save his skin. Published in THE DISNEY VILLAIN by Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas, Hyperion, New York, 1993, pages 87 and 89.Social/Sharing |
