Here's another example for the mini set of 90s Image Art that I was focusing on for a bit.

When I was a kid 90s Image stuff was the coolest comics around at school (besides Marvel, Spidey and X-Men mainly), that I'd come across through other kids. I often read random issues 2nd hand, but never really retained much continuity around the storylines in my head to be honest, until more recently through re-reading properly in order or researching information. Still, it brings back a certain level of nostalgia for me, so it became a mini goal within my collecting focus to get some examples. There are still a few other 90s Image titles I'd like to own examples from eventually in addition to what I have now, but so far I've got examples from these 90s Image universes/storylines: Spawn, Phantom Force, and Cyber Force/Ballistic.

Ballistic (Cassandra Taylor, the sister of fellow Cyber Force member Carin Taylor, aka Velocity) had her own 3-issue mini-series/spin-off from Cyber Force released in 1995, she made her first appearance in the original Cyber Force mini-series in issue #1, 1992 (Top Cow/Image). Artwork for the Ballistic mini-series was done by Michael Turner and D-Tron on inks.

I always liked the look of her cybernetic/bionic arm (given to her by Cyberdata after her crippling injury she suffered at the hands of her ex-boyfriend), which this splash page puts on display.

I also have the published color guide for this splash page by Nathan Cabrera which Michael Turner signed, I'll post it next time.

Our paths may never cross again
Pencil my art forever mend
But I'm glad for all the good times
Cause you've brought me so much art line
D-Tron was the best that Turner's been

I wouldn't lose Ballistic for the world
Wouldn't have missed loving you girl
You've made my whole life with style
With Top Cow
I wouldn't trade Velocity
'Cause you mean two splash to me (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Even though I lost you girl
I wouldn't trade Ballistic for the world

Great Turner splash page that also looks like a precursor for his work on Witchblade.  Congrats on getting this and the accompanying color guide too!

Gorgeous splash page from Michael Turner! and D-Tron I love this portrait of Ballistic. Her beautiful face marred by the scar across one eye, the luscious rendering of her hair, even the cybernetic hand she's displaying are all drawn with such loving attention! I was a huge fan of CyberForce and I remember the spin-off featuring Ballistic. It had some of the best artwork I've ever seen before or since. I can't say enough about Turner's incredible layouts and his extraordinary skill drawing women. And D-Tron's inks are breathtaking. The linework here is phenomenal! Wonderful pick-up, congrats!
