Spark by Jeff Moy

The second of my three lucky eBay finds! Spark is Jeff's favourite Legionnaire, and it really shows in pieces like this. The bouncy pose and the big smile on Ayla's face really convey her "electric" personality, and the lighthearted, nondestructive use of her lighting gives the whole piece a very bright, energetic feel. And as always, Jeff's pencilwork is just gorgeous to behold. The highlights on the darker portions of her suit are perfectly placed, and I love the way the lightning is crackling around her hands. Jeff always comes up with the best backgrounds for these pieces, too. Normally he goes with abstract patterns and shapes, but I like that this one feels more like an instrument panel on the wall of Legion H.Q.
