Description
Dick Giordano's storied background includes Charlton Comics, the Crusty Bunkers, and Continuity. As a DC kid growing up, his name was everywhere. He could draw and ink, and as a respected executive, he led many of DC's mid-80s blockbuster efforts, including "Crisis" and the acquisition of the Charlton Comics characters, which became the foundation for The Watchmen.

Giordano seemed like the kind of inker every penciler would just trust.

He inked the 1983 Green Arrow mini-series over Trevor Von Eeden's pencils. This commission piece is an homage to the cover of #1.

Colored by Charles Stewart III at the Baltimore Comic Con.

This hits the mark!  Giordano was a workhorse and his work can be found in a lot of key moments in DC history being VP and Executive Editor for the pivotal 80's.

Yup, the first thing I thought of when I saw this piece was the Von Eeden cover to Green Arrow #1 from 1983!
