Description

Both the Scarlet Witch and the Vision are characters strongly associated with Sandy. Titled "The Consort", Sandy has left it to you to decide if this refers to the Vision or the cat.

Sandy had started this drawing when I first saw it. He had drawn the right boot on Wanda. But her left foot was still a work in progress. He did not feel it would look right for her to have a boot on her left foot. Because of how the thone was rendered, Sandy would have to break (flex) her ankle to account for the boot heel. I suggested he could re-draw the bottom of the thone to increase the height of the throne. Sandy didn't think that would work either.

Anyway, I related a personal story that influenced Sandy to go with Wanda totally barefoot. And he asked if I would be interested in buying the finished drawing. I think you can guess my response.

The Scarlet Witch was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The Vision was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema.

Great piece! I´m a big fan of Sandy`s art and love the Frazetta-like setting of this piece.
