Description
A true Herge original. This was created for Tintin magazine and prior to the formation of Herge studio. Circa 1946. I've been lucky to find a copy of the original magazine and a scan of the page where this was used is below. Tintin #40, October 28, 1948 Belgian Edition. Also, a bad scan of the art out of frame is below too.

Words fail to describe what Herge and Tintin mean to me. I am getting all choked up even thinking about it....

Enjoy

To quote Captain Haddock "Two-timing Tartar Twisters!" - what a magnificent find! I remember reading Tintin as a kid and then reading them to my kids - I only hope they read his adventures to their kids. Congrats Jeff!

WOW!!! A real Herge Tintin? That is amazing. Tintin is my all-time favorite comic, without a doubt. When I was in first grade in the early '70s my family lived in London for a year. I learned to read from Tintin books (and school, of course). But when we moved there I didn't know how to read and I remember "reading" the Tintin books by just following the pictures. By the end of that year I was actually reading the books. They have stayed with me ever since and I re-read them every year. I know I will never be able to afford a Herge original so I live vicariously through you with this wonderful piece of art. Congrats! :-)
