Description

This is an original ink on scratchboard drawing by Anthony Russo. Russo is an illustrator, best known for his work in magazines, newspapers, and books (including The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and others). It was published on July 22, 1990 as the introductory image to an article titled "Bad Poets Society" in the Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine (a small magazine that ran as an insert in the Sunday edition of the paper).

Looks right in line with hat you'd expect from a column with the focus on art and culture! A feat of design to show how the community comes together even if it's for a night of bad poetry.
