DescriptionMy Neighbor Totoro Mei and Tatsuo Production Cel (Studio Ghibli, 1988). "Wake up!" The excited Mei wakes up her oversleeping father, Tatsuo, in this lot that offers an endearing hand-painted production cel from My Neighbor Totoro. Regarded by many as an anime classic, this film by renowned director Hayao Miyazaki was released on April 16, 1988, in a double-bill feature with Grave of the Fireflies. This movie is so representative of the studio that Totoro has been used in the logo for the studio since 1991. Apearing at the 25:35 tiemstamp, this image features Mei jumping on top of the drowsy Tatsuro, covered by his futon. The three-layer 13.5" x 8.75" cel shows an image size of 12.5" x 8", also featuring the book, glasses, and lamp next to Tatsuo, featured on a printed copy of the scene's background.Social/Sharing |
