Description
Tarrian's Journal / Tomb of Aclazotz are the front and back faces, respectively, of a double faced card (DFC) from the Magic: the Gathering expansion 'The Lost Caverns of Ixalan'.

Tomb of Aclazotz is the back image on the card. The painting is oil over acrylic on a 12x16 board by Randy Gallegos. On the back of the board it is titled "Sepulcher of Aclazotz" which I assume was the original name.

Included in the package was a post card with Randy's art on the front and a note about his process for these paintings that reads:
"Though I have now illustrated a few artifact books, the Tomb commission was tricky, as I do not find architectural spaces to be a strong suit. I designed the walls and floor design flat, printed them out large, and built a small "set" by curving the printed wall around the circular floor. This gave me the reference I needed! I could also use the floor a lot in the tome illustration."

Also included are two signed, foil artist proofs of the two faces of the card.

The painting for the front of the card, Tarrian's Journal, can be found here:

Looks great with the expanded scene!  All those skeletons tell a tale of these knights never leaving their watch in guarding this book.
