Description
This painting would always catch my eye whenever I visited Ruben's comicartgallery.com website. It has mood...a dramatic nature...and that simple splash of red that pulls the eye...I think it's a beautiful painting not done in Enric's more typical/recognizable style.

From Ruben's listing for the piece:

Oil on specially prepared Canvas Paper.

This is the original painting published as the cover to the vintage Gothic paperback novel Mendocino Menace, written by Ruth MacLeod in 1973. The art was later used as the cover to a French reprint of a Clarissa Ross novel.

The power of nature and unescapable fate on display.  The winds above and the crashing waves below show how small the person is when fighting against the forces of nature and universal order.
