DescriptionPublished 1970Catcher in the Sky written by Mike Sekowsky Page 3 of 6. Emerging from the sea, Supergirl notices the aircraft that are also searching futilely. Suddenly, the aircraft start to disappear and Supergirl decides to hitch a ride with them to see what's going on Supergirl during this era had many costume changes and this outfit follows the fashion trend of the day with large belt, short skirt and thigh high boots. I did like the decorative belt on this costume and of course going through my teenage years at the time I was quite fond of this fashion trend! The artists forgot the drawn Supergirl's shield in the second panel, and the inker and colorist rolled with it! Social/Sharing |

The first thing I noticed was that it looked like she put her cape on while she was in her fashionable skirt in the middle panel! That's a pretty crazy part of the costume to forget to draw! Great looking page, though!

I will follow you
Follow you where Kara-El may go
There isn't an ocean too deep
A mountain so high that can keep me off page
I must follow you
Ever since you're brushed by hand I know
That near you S always must be
And nothing can keep you Peppe
You are Mike Sekowsky

The missing "S" is the sort of thing that happens when the writer/artist is also the editor. You simply miss the obvious because you don't bring fresh eyes to the material.

He forgot to draw her behind and the inker rolled with it in panel 3 as well ;)

Love all the poses here! Your collection is like a volcano erupting, un-endlessly with gem after gem!

The Bermuda Triangle opened a franchise in the Gulf of Mexico that caused the S on her uniform to disappear along with the jets! Nice pickup!

this might be my fav of the Sekowsky pages from the book you've posted so far. The storytelling and poses are just really great.
