Shel Silverstein!! The man whose poems and stories played such a big part of so many of our childhoods, had a dirty side! Starting in the late 1950s, Shel had a series of travelogue comics that he did for Playboy.in 2007 they released a collection of these cartoons. I was shocked when some recently came up for auction. Im beyond thrilled to now own something by one of the great American Masters. Cartoons, poems, stories, songs, plays.
Shel Silverstein was an incredible artist and Renaissance man. I’d be happy with a doodle on a napkin for my collection, but was able to get this fantastic gag instead!
