Day 24. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition).

The story thus far...

Joining the crew of the Millennium Falcon, Dani has accompanied our Rebels to the planet Lahsbane. The Rebels were on the trail of Yom Argo, an Alliance spy who had been working to stir up Rebel sentiments in the sector. Argo had been shot down by Imperials, eventually crash-landing on Lahsbane. Although Argo was killed in the crash, his ship contained datatapes that explained his progress in the area. Not wishing to let the tapes fall into the wrong hands, the Alliance sent Luke, Leia, Lando, and Chewie, who were closest to Lahsbane, to recover the tapes.

The Lahsbees have, of course, hidden the tapes in the Forbidden City across a giant canyon, and the Falcon's intake valves are clogged with local pollen. Dani and Leia get in an argument and after a huff agree to recover the tapes while everyone else is dealing with the Falcon. They then swipe a hot air balloon, as you do.

On this page, Leia and Dani press on with one of the hot air balloon towards the city, in an unusual fashion, C-3PO fills in a shocked Lando and Luke about the ladies plan, and Luke readies a glider to go after them.

This issue was originally intended to feature the story "Hoth Stuff!", with plots by David Michelinie and Bob Layton, pencils by Luke McDonnell, and Bob “they call me a Tom” Layton also handling inking duty. That story eventually appeared as issue 78.
