Absolutely stunning Dragons and Dungeons cover by Max Dunbar. Love this image of the two female warriors battling the eerie starfish-monster. Dunbar does a great job of making the imaginary monster seem as real as the embattled warriors. I love the circular frame that suggests this is happening in a sewer. Having a specific setting brings a lot of realism to the art. great pick-up, congrats!

Is it just me, or does that center squid guy look like Kingpin?

in my head this battle is taking place in the sewers, which means soon our heroes will encounter some mutant turtles of the ninja variety, pizza will be consumed, and things will be very merry indeed.
cool cover!

Always great to see Dunbar's original art: brilliant composition and masterful inks! The published version rarely does his pieces justice.

It's got some newer school Humberto Ramos in it. Really beautiful line work. But what's up with this habit of art collectors chaining certain artists down in their basements in order to keeo a monopoly on their art? This trend is very disturbing....

Well you did have me chained up in your basement for several weeks and I can barely draw. :(

Well let's see...it would appear that the two ladies have their work cut out for them. Neither has a shield so their armor class must be low, and I feel especially bad for the lady using the two handed sword. By the look on her face she is trying her hardest to keep damn thing off the ground!!!

Never played D & D as a game, but loved their books and comics!

These kids better have some good magical gear. Or they'll be vaporized, turned to stone, charmed, outright death ray'ed, and so forth...

Outright death is the hard one to come back from. Not impossible but hard.
