Description

This is one of three pieces of OA I purchased from someone locally (my first time finding original comic art "in the wild"). I struck up a conversation with a gentleman at my local comic shop, mentioned that I collected original art, and he said (paraphrasing): "Oh, I have some of that if you're interested. It's kinda weird stuff though, I'm not sure you'd like it." I told him I'd love to at least see it and we exchanged numbers. Fast forward to this week and he sent over some images. I met him at the comic shop to take a closer look at them. He gave me a great price (even after I explained what it might go for at auction online). He said he'd owned them "forever", had "never done anything with them" and was "happy to see them go to someone who would appreciate them."

Finds off the beaten path can be very rewarding! Heathcliff is mainstream enough having been around before Garfield and it's a sunday strip 3 years in.

Always loved Heathcliff growing up. Way better than Garfield.
