Superman vs Predator #3, pg. 39 (2000)

Superman, sick with a "mysterious alien virus", struggles to stop a genocidal doctor while also battling a Predator. Apparently kryptonite is not Superman's only weakness? The trouble with having an invulnerable, super-strong hero is that you need to make him weaker before letting him fight anyone. This sounds like criticism, but I enjoyed both this story and "Batman vs Predator". However, I think Batman vs Predator sounds a bit more like a fair fight.

Maleev's work on this book looks very different than his art in Batman: No Man's Land (though both were published around the same time). I'm certain it's due, at least in part, to him inking himself for this book vs being inked by someone else for NML. I enjoy both styles and I'm happy to have representatives of both in my collection.
