Art was created for use on the lid to Aurora Model Kit No. 476-100 released in 1966 and features action-packed art of Captain America charging into battle, his iconic shield held before him in a pose reminiscent of Jack Kirby's art. Lower right margin has large handwritten "476" number in black marker. Left/right margins of illustration board show wide streaks of glue staining, not affecting art. Illustration board scattered pin holes along margins as well as some scattered staining at left/right margins, including fingerprints at lower right and some moisture staining to upper left corner edge. Lower left has some faint moisture staining, which infringes slightly into stream area of art, but o/w art remains clean and VF/Exc. w/vivid color. Could be matted and framed for an incredible display and would easily become the centerpiece of any Aurora collection. Aurora Marvel art rarely comes to market, this and the following lot being the nicest and most important examples to ever be offered at auction.
