Ellery delivered on this one. One his best pieces I've seen from him. Absolute stunner.

This isn't that. It's much more as Ellery orchestrates an homage to the Dark Phoenix Saga from X-Men 132 page 5. At that point only Jean could suppress Cyclops' powers as form of initimacy. She allows Scott to be unburdened by his powers and feel human. It's also right before they snoo snoo! She's keeping him from exploding his red blast too soon.

Gorgeous! It's a lovely original cover concept from Cassaday and Ellery does absolute justice with this piece. So bright you need a ruby quartz visor :)

While inspired by the Cassaday cover, I think it might actually be better by having Jean (or Dark Phoenix, more accurately) holding back Scott's blasts instead of Emma, in a cool nod to the Dark Phoenix Saga (as Marcus already detailed). Also love that it's a much warmer color palette than the original cover with its cool blues. Congrats!

Great composition, great colors, great execution. Lovely way to get back that cover in part. Ellery definitely did the damn thing here. Congrats!

Very rich colours, with great highlights on the costumes. Nice commission.
