DescriptionHere is a fun piece I picked up a while back. It is a page from a book published in 1994 called X-men Spellbound - it was a young reader type book . The piece itself caught my attention for a couple reasons. First there is not a lot of painted published X-men art from the 90s , and Isidres Mones does a real nice job in watercolors on this page featuring Wolverine. Secondly the book’s plot was based on the X-men 111 story where the X-men are hypnotized by Mesmero and forced into a circus.. obviously they changed the team to the very popular at the time X-men animated team , but that issue 111 was one of the first “back issues” I got as a child so I read it a billion times!Social/Sharing |
