Very lovely how it's all put together in order to pace the opening of the story. An impatient reader may want to skip the top, but Jaime does it to slow things down from how we typically read a superhero book and make us apprecaite the fine work in the opening establishing image.
Honored to have this piece blessed by your insightful comment! I always enjoy reading your astute comments and observations.
That's pretty great! And early!
Thanks Tony! Early Jaime is my favorite, but it's all delightful.
Nice!!!
Thank you!
Beautiful and from an awesome storyline. Big congrats!
Thanks Jason! That means a lot coming from you!
Yeah, that's a good one.
Thank you! Hard to find a bad one when it comes to Jaime :)
Congratulations! Big pickup from an all-time great. Izzy did go to Palomar in issue 50!
Haha! Amazing! No wonder I thought she could have been a Palomar character! Always appreciate your Love & Rockets knowledge!
absolutely lovely
Thanks Brett!!!
What an amazing Love & Rockets example! Love it!
Thanks Chris!
Fantastic page. I love all of the little details, from Zero's phone number of the cupboard to the Sal's Liquor calendar, to the title lettering and of course, the great splash. Congrats on getting this amazing page.
Thanks for highlighting these subtle details! It's great to see how each one really enlivens the space, the characters, their relationships, and setting. Curious what folks make of Zero's number being written on the cupboard? Who do you think wrote it on Izzy'd cupboard?
Brilliant. It's odd to say that a simple flyswatter rendered so perfectly speak absolute volumes about the environment and situation we are experiencing, but Jaime is a genius so there we have it.
Thanks ML! Curious to read your volumes on what the flyswatter says about the environment and situation we're experiencing. Couldn't agree more with your assessment of Jaime!
Fantastic title page!
Thanks George! Looking forward to seeing you at OAX!
