I don't collect stat art, but I made an exception for this piece. The splash is a nostalgic fave and the actual art, if it exists, would be on multiple boards, anyway. So I figured "Why not? There's no art, but it is the published page".

extremely cool image, wow. even if not the actual art, important step in the production process for an image you have fond memories for.

This series is where a lot of X-Men fans got introduced to the incredible art of Butch Guice before he even got to draw the mutants in X-Factor. A lot of us dreamed what a Guice run on UXM would have looked like in this era.

As you note, it's not original art, but it IS pretty darn cool. Handsome title splash by Butch Guice and Bob Wiacek. Love the design of the page with the X-Men head shots running down the left side of the page and the Micronauts head shots running down the right side of the page, These headshots bracket the terriific scene if the two teams together. If it WERE original art, it would be worth a pretty penny, I'd say. But even as a production piece, it's fun to admire.
