DescriptionHaving saved Vlad Dracula from werewolves, our heroes discover what he really is: “To be helped by a Dampyr… a strange destiny for me.” “Who are you? A creature of my father? You can't be the real Vlad Tepes.” “I… Vlad was not a vampire, that's true. But he was a friend of Master Draka. Draka's power gave him back… gave me back… this short life. Draka, my friend, I return the favor to you... by fighting against your enemies.” “Get back!” (Vlad shrivels as his spirit leaves him in a rush of wind.) “What…?” “Bones. There’s just old bones and shreds of parchment-like skin. All that remains of the great Vlad Tepes.” “I don't understand. What was it? A ghost? An animated puppet? What?” “I think it was the real Vlad... These are his mortal remains. My father must have brought him to life with his immense powers, using his ability to create organic beings emanating from his own body, or parts of it.” “A medallion! Was it hidden under Vlad's robes?” “I imagine so, and inside...” “A lock of black hair…” “Draka's hair!” So if this fake Vlad Dracula was an emanation powered by Draka's hair, who was powering the werewolves that Vlad was fighting? those first 2 panels are so sick! also really like the panel where Vlad's spirit departs and the body shrivels up. the discovery of the lock of hair throws a twist into things!

Comicn at'cha with a silver bullet! The inking is superb once more with the violence, horror, and mystery keeping the audience engaged!
