Touching a lock of his father's hair in a pendant, Harlan makes a brief telepathic contact:

�Father!�

�Harlan, my son, we'll see each other again soon.�

�Harlan, did you see your father Draka again?�

�Yes.�

�Well, is anyone still in doubt that your father is the culprit?�

�He spoke to me this time. He told me to go even lower.�

�And you intend to listen to him?�

�He told me we'll meet him down there.�

�The final reckoning, huh? (cough) I wish I could arrive there in better shape. But since I have nothing left to lose, I'll fight until I'm exhausted and��

�Hey! Has anyone seen Hobbes lately?�

�This blood must be his� while he was hiding behind here, someone attacked him and dragged him away.�

�Poor Hobbes. I feel responsible for that little guy.�

�We warned him. He shouldn't have strayed from us.�

�He told me he was a war reporter. But throwing himself into the fray against a pack of werewolves, I must admit, is not for everyone.�

�Come on. He may still be alive. The tracks lead further and further down. And I have the distinct feeling that we'll find the other missing people down there too.�

�As well as a lovely trap for us three naive Boy Scouts.�

(Kurjak sees Harlan cut his own hand and move toward the organic wall.) �And now what are you doing, buddy? You want to make our adversaries' job easier?�

Harlan discovers that his blood (more to the point, his half-blood) causes the very walls to recoil, which means they too are a projection made by some vampire lord.

That 3 panel sequence of Harlan seeing Papa Draka is excellent art wise, wow! And I'm still hoping for the best for Hobbes!
