A vampire thrall offers unexpected help to our heroes:

�Isn't it clear? Draka is not the only Master involved in this matter.�

�We thought that the lord of this castle, Gabor Vlatna, had died four years ago, but��

(Vance appears) �...but he is more powerful than ever! Welcome to the place of your death, gentlemen. I present to you my lord and master� Count Vlatna!�

�What an unexpected pleasure: The Dampyr and his companion, the rebel vampire. This time I will not leave the job half done� this time I will kill you!�

�Or, you will fail again.�

�What a windbag. I have never met you before, you lousy excuse for a Count!�

The heroes knew that a vampire lord was creating all these projections of monsters, but they assumed Harlan's father Draka was the one causing the problems. Now it appears that Vlatna was the real troublemaker, and Draka is actively opposing him.

I would say that it was done with mirrors....but this is a vampire story ;)

And the other master reveals themself! Vlatna looks like a 17th or 18th century naval captain, or a really sophisticated and refined pirate. Vampire pirate!?
