DescriptionFirst, THANK YOU! to Robert Frey, first cabin collectorand top flight purveyor of black and white delight. Sleepwalking through retirement from stalking art pages, I noticed out of the corner of my eye some special CAF event with pages displayed for sale, finally I took a closer look, at the last minute, and saw this shining grail for sale. Then the page and the items went away as soon as I found them. The timeframe for the event expiring as I found my first clue that maybe, just maybe... I guess so. A little CAF stalking and I cornered this fellow and his page and offered to lighten his load down the road. I knew it would be a moment past the holidays, birthdays and other days. It was. Not getting out much on the art front, I feel so lucky to have found the fabulous Mr Frey, and this flat out awesome on it's own Gene Colan/Tom Palmer panel page 20, from Doctor Strange 175. That issue a special one, for me. So much that I had to have page 21, maybe 7 years ago to join the first two pages on our living room wall. As neat as that Clea end splash is, it sorta didnt rhyme with the first two pages on it's own. Now it rocks, because they all four go perfectly together, and they will rule that wall as soon as I sort out the matte board supply. I will update with a picture of those four in a jagged row as soon as I can. Book matched bookends, and this page is the last word in my collecting ambitions. Thanks Robert, it means a great deal to us! What a fun hobby to pass the decades with, when something like this shows up!!! Social/Sharing |

A great page with that jagged layout to pace this battle! In true Colan and Palmer fashion, we get an effects bonanza to go with hot Clea images!

This page really caught my eye too. How nice to hear about a happy deal between two of my favorite comic art people. This page really showcases all of the storytelling prowess that makes Colan/Palmer such a peerless art duo. Big congrats Kelly!
