Art credited to Mel Crawford in book. Nice image of title character Dooley, The Whistling Wizard and J.P. and Heathcliff. William "Bil" Baird (1904 - 1987) was an American puppeteer. He and his puppets performed for millions of adults and children. One of his better known creations was Charlemane the lion. Type overlay taped to back of painting. Lt. aging/trace wear to art. Margins have tack holes and some tape residue. Exc. Comes with copy of printed book. Good. Social/Sharing |
