Tim Lane, Notes of a 2nd Class Citizen

This is a piece of original comic strip art by Tim Lane published in his collection of stories “Abandoned Cars” (Fantagraphic Books in 2008). The art is labeled “Notes of a 2nd Class Citizen” and signed by Tim. In these panels Lane’s character extolls the virtues of non-traditional life not defined by work, while the woman on TV makes the opposite argument. It is page 67 of the book and is centered on a black page, with a totally black facing page, that really makes the black and white art pop.
