DescriptionPainted artwork, apparently for a postcard, watercolour on watercolour paper measuring approx 13 x 10 inches.Nicely executed piece featuring traditional 'vicar and tart' theme. Looks to be from the 1940s/50s. I'm assuming this was for a postcard as it's very similar in style to other postcard artwork of the time (including Donald McGill). However, I have yet to find a published copy of the postcard, or anything about the artist who has signed it - "A. Humphries". Social/Sharing |
