DescriptionIn 2004 Darwyn Cooke combined his encyclopedic knowledge of DC with his retro art style and crafted a story about the dawn of the Justice League that was both familiar but also broke new ground. New Frontier is now rightly considered one of the essential stories of the DCU.This page is a prelim to the published page 36 when Kyle "Ace" Morgan and Hal Jordan entertain their dates at a night club right before Captain Cold spoils the fun. Although it's just a prelim, Darwyn's pencils are very detailed and tight. In the published page, the bottom panel of Ace and his cigar is gone and the top two panels are shifted down. Darwyn has also moved some of the figures of the women in the second panel on the final page. It's pretty cool to get something from the New Frontier in my collection. Wish Darwyn was still around to produce more fantastic work like this. Social/Sharing |
