Day 20. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition).

Although I'm focused on published interior pages, I do pick up the occasional specialty piece from favorite artists. This was a pre-order OAX 2025 commission from Manix picked up in Orlando back in January. Jedi Lula Talisola is the protagonist of the Star Wars young adult title "Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures." The series was first published by IDW, now Dark Horse, and drawn by Manix's fellow Next Comic Art colleague Harvey Tolibao. Harvey has co-created so much of that corner of the Star Wars universe with writer Daniel Jos� Older, and the other High Republic title teams over at Marvel, much to the joy of this fanboy. I knew no one else would be making this character request ahead of me and Manix, as always, delivered. Pew Pew!

Lula is such a great character! Manix pays tribute to his own artist stablemate in Harvey, love the idea! Is that a window behind her and she's inside blocking blaster shots with her saber, or is she running on top of a starship in the vaccum here and those are other ships behind her? Either way, fun one by Manix.

Lightsaber strikes, space debris, and geometric shapes all combine to create a dynamic and detailed scene. The color scheme always works when it comes to Manix and that's no exception here, right down to those hot pink Pews!
