I’ve had this piece for quite a while and just never got around to sharing it. Purchased this gorgeous piece from Connie back in 2020 when she was having a Black Friday sale. As soon as I saw it I simply had to have it. I mean who doesn’t love a stunning tribute to the beautiful work of Alphonse Mucha?

Back in May 2016 Connie did a small series of 3 drawings that were stunning homages to the works of Mucha. This beautiful drawing was one of them and was definitely my favorite so when I had the opportunity to add it to my collection I just couldn’t resist. This drawing is Connie’s stunning interpretation of Mucha’s lithograph “Summer” from his Seasons series. Connie took his beautiful concept and made it her own. Everything about this piece is breathtaking. From her beautiful sultry expression to the lovely details on the flowers and her beautiful flowing gown. Even her subtle use of color on her lips and nipple just add to this phenomenal drawing. I really love the composition as the vines arch and flow to give the piece a circular format. She truly captured the feel of Mucha’s art but left her mark and in my opinion exceeded what he had created. Truly a masterpiece from this amazing artist and one I’m thrilled to have in my collection.

As a bonus there is also a lovely drawing of a horse on the back but unfortunately you wouldn’t know it since it’s hidden inside the frame.
