Description

This is the December 5, 1982 strip for "The Heart of Juliet Jones", which has Juliet and Eve together in four panels and Eve alone in one. Drake had a reputation for reusing his art and there is reason to think that much or most of this was from other days. Both ends show art that is too discolored from glue or something to be usable and the panel where Eve is packing is a cavalcade of cut and paste, all of it original drawings. The whole panel is pasted over the main section. The first level of that panel consists of only the upholstery, the mirror on the dresser, the blank dialogue balloons and the wall. Juliet and the doorway are a separate paste-on. Eve, the rest of the dresser and the suitcase are another as is all the lettering.
