Description

This is a beautiful work by Rodolfo Gasparri (of Django fame) done for an unknown Italian Movie Poster. As a longtime movie poster collector, and huge fan of painted posters, I just had to get it. Sadly, since I bought it in 2017, I haven�t been able to find any info on what it was done for, so it is assumed to be Unpublished. The auction house said it may have been intended for an Italian re-release of "Cartouche". The woman does bear a striking resemblance to Claudia Cardinale, after all. Produced in gouache over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 15.75" x 21.5". Board is toned, but colors are bright. In surprisingly Excellent condition. I love some of Gasparri�s other poster work, so this is a fun piece to own.
