I have always been a fan of Dillin's Justice League. Classic silver age.
I've been a Atom of
A selfish lines I love
It's kind that I realize
There are some with Atom
Hawkman Dillin to drawn
Could Sid Greene really be
Pretending that they're not alone?
A hero deeply scarred
Somebody's broken heart
And a washed-up team
(Washed-up dream)
They follow the pattern of the inks
You see
'Cause they got no page to be
That's why I'm starting mercy
I'm starting with backhand of the killer (Who?)
I'm asking him to change with Ray (Who?)
And no message could have been any Palmer
If your lighter makes Hawkworld a better aim
Take a look at yourself Dillin makes a page
I've always enjoyed this earlier, pre-JLA Dick Dillin work, and also find that Greene's inks were very complimentary.
This is a gorgeous page!!!
An atom in the hand is worth more than two electrons in a balloon.
Those electrons can give you quite a charge!
Looks like splitting an Atom isn't as easy as it seems ;)
It takes a lot of concentration, one distraction and boom!
Classic Silver Age look and feel, really great Dillin work. congrats, really great addition!
Dick Dillin is sooooooo underapprecited. This is GORGEOUS!
Fantastic page by one of the greats--love the use of perspective here!
