Description

Thunderstrike is a character that I have absolutely loved since I was a kid. I always say, Thor was a god's view of mankind on earth and Eric Masterson/Thunderstrike was man's view of gods in the heavens. His story has a complete arc. His becoming Thor, the creation of the Thunderstrike, his heroic death, that one issue of What If? right after, and his son Kevin taking up the mace--good fun comic stuff.

I once spend about an hour talking Thunderstrike with Ron Frenz and Tom DeFalco at one of the old Pittsburgh Comic Cons. That's where the head sketch of Erik in my gallery came from.

I've been looking for a Thunderstrike page of any kind in my price range for a long time. After many years, this one popped up on eBay in my range. I was sure one of the dealers would blow my bid out of the water at the last-minute. Amazingly, it didn't. I was able to add this to my collection for a little over $100. Crazy!

It's penciled by Ron Frenz and written by Tom DeFalco, who created the character. This page is inked by Keith Williams, and he's one of my favorite people to run into at comic conventions. A special team on a page I'm thrilled to add to my collection. The world still needs heroes.
