DescriptionSharpie on 11 x 14. Here's the story with this one... Seeing Art Nichols at a comic show is to see a guy that knows just about everyone that passes by. Like he's running a social obstacle course. He might actually get to his table for only an hour in an entire day. To get a sketch was almost unheard of. I was talking with Art and watching him draw this piece in an 11 x 14 sketch pad. Art may have done another sketch in the meantime. Along comes the guy who requested this sketch, except that he asked that it be done in a blank page in the convention program book or something. So Art takes the page from the pad and hands it to me. Art does another drawing (but not as good, says me) for the guy in the program book which was smaller than 11 x 14. Don't know about the other guy, but I was a happy camper. And I think Art was a little peeved. THIS DOES NOT ADVOCATE ASKING ART (OR ANY) ARTIST FOR FREE SKETCHES. I JUST GOT LUCKY. Thanks, Art !!! Magnus, Robot Fighter was created by Russ Manning. I loved Nichols' run on Magnus! Great sketch, great story.
