DescriptionAs many of you know, I'm a massive Moby Dick fan and it's one of my most treasured subject matters for commissions. I've been spoiled with quite a few well done adaptations of the source material, including several comics adaptations. For a long time, Bill Sienkiewicz held the crown for the best comic adaptation, but in my view he lost the crown a few years ago to Christophe Chabouté, who adapted Moby Dick in STUNNING FASHION.Someone who listens to our podcast, and knows my affinity for Chaboute's Moby Dick, kindly pinged me when a Belgium gallery (Septimus) was auctioning off a bunch of Chaboute's work, including a few pieces from Moby Dick. I'm beyond thrilled that I won the piece I most coveted. It's a mini-grail for me as it's the cover to most recent version of the book, published by Dark Horse. It's jaw dropping in person and I can't wait to get it framed up and put on my Moby Dick art wall. Social/Sharing |

Chabouté is amazing. Great to see him getting recognition out of Europe.
