My last commission from PCKC 2025. Since seeing Phil Hester’s Swamp Thing commission from Baldemar, I knew I’d have to try to get one done for myself. Looking at Baldemar’s other work/sketches, his style has surreal and manga elements with a touch of horror, which is on display here. I particularly like the white accents, directing your eyes from his head, down the arm to the flowers coming out of his stomach to the spores dispersing away…

Rivas makes Swamp Thing horrific and beautiful at the same time with organic linework! The highlights of white paint adds to the 3D effect.
