I have know idea why Eclipso is in disguise ( trilby and raincoat…hmmmmm) when he makes calls from a phone booth. Perhaps he’s self conscious.

That first panel with the jet aircraft is like a photo out of a magazine article! Gibbons brought over a sophistication to GL with his artistry. Eclipso has to wear a trenchcoat because he needed pockets to carry around pocket change for the surprise phone calls. Calling collect wouldn't have had the same effect.
