Well, it happened again! Jeff was wondering which character he should draw for his warmup card on WhatNot, I suggested Phantom Girl, and Jeff thought for a moment and said "I could draw Phase, instead." And, well, who am I to deny one of my favourite artists drawing one of my favourite obscure characters?? Joining Vril Dox in the L.E.G.I.O.N. ranks is Phase, his second in command!

Jeff just did such a good job with this one (though it was pretty funny when he got halfway through drawing it and realized he'd have to draw the super intricate L.E.G.I.O.N. symbol again, but once again he pulled it off perfectly!). Phase looks exactly as she should, kind and composed, and I love how Jeff rendered the folds in her tunic. And on the topic of the background... I just love Jeff's space backgrounds. This is the darkest one he's ever done for me, colour-wise, and I love how the white outline keeps Phase from blending into it. It almost gives her a glowing, ethereal effect, like she's using her phasing powers. Actually, it pairs really nicely with the Vril sketch card, where Jeff drew him using his forcefield!

Yeah, every time my gallery gets to be less than 50% Jeff Moy art, I somehow end up buying more! Can't say I'm complaining, though!

I like that he makes the eyes sparkle just like all the stars. Or is she just phasing here and we are seeing the stars behind her?
