Description

A common trope in thrillers is "tomb raiders awaken a horror monster." This time the tomb raiders are innocent academics on a professional assignment, but it's all the same to the vampire.

“It's incredible, professor. You were right! Those stones that had been there for centuries hid an underground tunnel! But how did you manage to find it?”

“In the ancient plans of the lands around the abbey, a place is indicated whose only entrance seems to be the hole we passed through. The tunnel leads unmistakably to a room that has no other access routes, and therefore they wanted to keep it well hidden... this crypt!”

“This room must have been built at the same time as the abbey.”

“But the tombstone seems more recent. Who is buried in here?”

“Let's find out. Professor, have you seen how many animal carcasses there are?”

“Moles and mice. They must have crawled in through some hole in the ground.”

“Strange! It seems like this is the den of some other animal.”

“The stone is easy to move. Someone must have already lifted it... ah! Ouch!”

We'll see in a moment why he cried out.

I got a bad feeling about this. Which academic will be smart enough to make it out of there alive!?

The mood immediately changes with the setting inducing claustrophobia having panels filled out with shadows.
