Sergio Fusco enters the secret lair of his vampire boss in the Celio district of Rome:

“Fusco!”

“Everything okay? Did you happen to see if she woke up?”

“How should we know? Only she can open that armored door, from the inside.” (Sergio rings a doorbell and shows his face to the closed circuit camera. The heavy door unlocks.)

An armored vault makes sense as a modern substitute for a vampire's casket.
