DescriptionA great sketch of Batman by Golden Age artist, Jerry Robinson! Back in 1996, I began doing volunteer work at the International Museum of Cartoon Art, just after museum founder Mort Walker (Beetle Bailey creator) relocated it to Boca Raton, Florida. At one of the receptions, I was privileged to do a video interview with Jerry for the museum. Afterwards, he agreed to do a Batman sketch for me. Jerry was one of the great Golden Age creators, co-creating The Joker and Robin while he worked on Batman and Detective comics in the 1940's.Social/Sharing |

Very nice full face drawing of the classic Batman! The 90's convention circuit brought out a new appreciation of the legends that got too little credit during their time. Most of the Batman artists finally got their due and Robinson was the legend most wanted to hear from most.

Fantastic! The Joker piece is even more of an excellent addition now that we know you already had this Batman piece Robinson had created personally for you!
