Description
Original artwork for a story called 'The Ebony Sceptre'. This appeared in at least one edition of the Renwick annual 'Our Girls' Tip Top' and probably in other annuals published by them as well.

The artist is F.C. Dickinson, who is known to have illustrated stories by Arthur Conan Doyle and who has a few pieces archived at the V&A museum and the Wellcome collections in London.

The second panel is drawn/painted sideways on the same sheet as the title panel, presumably so as not to waste materials. In the published version the panels appear separately at different points in the story.
