Calvin's Mom - Animation Pitch

This cool pencil on animation paper (12-Field (11" x 13")) is thought to be an Original Production Drawing of Calvin's Mom from an Unknown Studio


Although Bill Watterson was against licensing of Calvin and Hobbes, he was, at one point, interested in having them animated, which would offer story telling beyond the limitations of the page:

It is thought that this is an unreleased pre-production drawing likely used for a pitch to Watterson by the Bill Melendez studios. However, there is not much evidence to support or deny the veracity of the origin of this piece. Although legend has it that it was rescued from the trash.
